Instructor: Pierce Kent
Pierce is a native of Dublin, Ireland and a history graduate of University College, Dublin (UCD). He has taught Irish to beginners in the Mid-Michigan area for 30 years and chairs an Irish History discussion group for the Irish American Club of Mid-Michigan. He will offer a workshop showing the relationship of Irish language, give some sample Irish greetings and phrases as well as offering some comments on the history and spread of Celts throughout Europe from the Hallstadt period in Austria to their eventual arrival in Ireland circa 600 BC.
2:15 - 3:15 Dulcimer
Instructor: Julie Arnold
Julie Arnold has been playing hammered dulcimer for 18 years and Celtic music for at least that long. She is married and teaches French at Alma College and offers dulcimer workshops at the ODPC Funfest in Evart, MI.
3:30 - 4:30 Irish Fiddle and Irish Whistle
Instructors: Griffin Cobean and Regina Kate
Griffin Cobean grew up in a family immersed in traditional Irish music. Throughout his fairly short life he has devoted his musical attention to learning and teaching traditional music on tin whistle Irish bouzouki and guitar.
Regina Kate started on the fiddle and Irish/Scottish traditional music at an early age. Since then she has taught and performed at festivals, pubs and private venues throughout Michigan and the Midwest.

Informal Irish Fiddle & Music Sessions with Paul Bennett at the Tullamore Dew & St. Brendan Pubs.

All seating is General Admission.
Tickets:
$12.00 for adults, children ages 3-12 are only $1.00 and for the youngsters under 3 it's free.
Parking:
$5.00 for cars & $10.00 for buses and RV's.
