FAQ

  1. Can I bring my own food to the festival? Unfortunately you can not - we have many different food selections available including some great traditional Irish food and several great dishes. If you have special/medical food needs please contact us.
  2. When can we arrive? The parking gates will open at 10:00am and gates to the festival will open at 11:00am.
  3. When do I have to leave, is re-entry allowed? Yes, re-entry will be allowed. Please check with the attendants or security guards at the gates when you leave if you would like to re-enter.
  4. Where is the closet airport? Gerald R. Ford International approx. 20 miles from stadium
  5. Directions: Fifth Third Ballpark - 4500 West River Drive, Comstock Park, MI 49321. The ballpark is easily accessible off 131 click here for directions .
  6. Are there local hotel accommodations? Yes, our official hotel is Holiday Inn Express in Walker.  Their number is 616.647.4100 and their website is - www.ichotelsgroup.com/h/d/ex/1/en/hotel/grrds.  We have set-up a special rate of $79 if you're traveling in.  Just mention Fifth Third Ballpark to get that deal.

  8. Where do I get photographer passes/media credentials? Any and all photo and media passes will be given out by our Media Relations Dept. at 616-726-7067 or by e-mail mgraham@whitecapsbaseball.com
  9. Can I pass out fliers? NO - if you are interested in purchasing space to promote please contact Mickey Graham at 726-7067.

  11. How do I sign up for the poster contest? For the rules and an entry form for the poster contest click here. (The poster contest for 2009 is completed.  Please look for it again next year).
  12. Will there be a tow truck on site? No but if you encounter car trouble please locate a staff member or visit customer service located on the concourse behind home plate for further assistance.
  13. How much are tickets? Ticket prices are $12.00 for adults; $1.00 for children ages 3-12 & free for the lapsitters.
  14. Where can I set a "home base"? You are welcome to tape down your blankets to the stationary seats located in the bowl area. The Great Lakes Irish Music Festival is not responsible for lost or stolen items.
  15. What other activities are going on? We have great activities including a childrens area and workshop tent. Click here to see more
  16. Can we tailgate? NO, tailgating is not permitted on the Fifth Third Ballpark grounds.
  17. Are pets allowed? NO (guide dogs are permitted with proper credentials)
  18. Where can I buy festival merchandise? Merchandise is now available please click here to see what we have.
  19. What can I bring into the festival with me? You can bring blankets, sunscreen, backpacks, strollers, still cameras all purses and back packs will be subject to search.
  20. What can I NOT bring into the festival? chairs, food and beverage.
  21. Where will the stage be set-up? The stage will be located at homeplate. Click here for stadium diagram.
  22. Where can I sit to watch the show? You can hang out where ever you are most comfortable - the blue bench or blue stadium seats, the lawn or on the field near the stage.
  23. Infield guidelines? Common courtesy to those around you will be key to having fun at the festival. Standing and dancing around the stage are encouraged. Please keep in mind that people are coming to this event to have a great time.
  24. How much is parking? There will be a one time charge for parking - $5.00 per car $10.00 per bus/RV.
  25. What kind of handicap facilities do you have? We are ADA compatible. We have parking ramps and elevators. We have multiple viewing points for the concert. All restrooms are handicap accessible. If you need further assistance please contact Dan Glowinski at 616.726.7066.
  26. What is your taping policy? Unfortunately, taping the show is not allowed at this festival.
  27. Can I rent a suite? Yes - you can rent a suite for the festival. We have two different sizes of suite - 20 person for $1000 includes 20 tickets and a wait staff member - 30 person for $1,500 includes 30 tickets and a wait staff member.
